FAQs
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’d like to get out of therapy, and any relevant background. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance—just come as you are.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected in their relationships. If something in your life isn’t working the way you’d like it to, therapy can help you gain clarity and move forward.
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
For individual sessions or speaking engagements, I offer both in-person and virtual sessions, via a HIPPA compliant software, offering you flexibility to attend from your home or office.

At this time, only in-person sessions are offered for couples counseling at my Westerville, Ohio office.
What issues do you help with?
I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, communication issues, and life transitions. I also support high-achieving individuals who may feel overwhelmed or burnt out despite appearing “put together” on the outside.
How long are sessions and how often will we meet?
Sessions are typically 1 hour long for indivudal and couples sessions. The first session for individual counseling typically is a little longer and may be about 1 hour and 20 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Most clients start with weekly sessions, and we can adjust frequency over time based on your needs and goals.

For speaking engagements, presentation length will start at a 1 hour minimum and can be adjusted from there, based on needs and goals.
How much is it?
Session fees are $125 (1 hour session)/$150 (initial intake meeting) for individuals and $125 (1 hour session) for couples. Speaking engagements start at $500/ 1 hour presentation. I’m happy to discuss options if you have questions.
Do you accept insurance?
I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Medical Mutual, OhioHealthy, Optum, United Medical Resources (UMR), and UnitedHealthcare (UHC) (UBH). If I’m out-of-network, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

*Please note that insurance is not currently accepted for couples therapy and speaking engagements*
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to the full session fee.
